Arsenal legend, Emmanuel Petit has mentioned several players who should be let go by the club in the next transfer window.
He identified the specific area where the team needs to work on their performance this summer.
The Gunners haven’t won a big trophy since 2020 and have come in second place in the last three Premier League seasons.
This season, they are trying to win both the league championship and the UEFA Champions League prize.
They lost the EFL Cup final to Manchester City.
Nevertheless, Petit said the north London team still needs stronger wingers.
When asked about the Gunners’ interest in Newcastle United’s Anthony Gordon, the Frenchman told Andy’s Bet Club, “I do know that if Arsenal want to take the next step, which means playing good football all season, they need to bring in talented wingers.
“Look at Bayern Munich. Look at Paris Saint-Germain. Those teams that play very good, controlling football and are winning the best prizes have that kind of player.
Arsenal have Bukayo Saka, who has been injured and has had a tough time this season so far. Noni Madueke, in my opinion, is a decent player, but he is not among the elite in this position.
“It’s pretty much the same on the left wing with Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard. but they are not among the best in their respective positions,” he added.
