Celtic manager, Martin O’Neill has showered encomium on Kelechi Iheanacho following the Hoops victory over St Mirren.
Iheanacho was the hero as Celtic strolled into the final of the Scottish Cup courtesy of a thrilling 6-2 win over the Saints at the Hampden Park on Sunday afternoon.
The Nigerian netted twice in extra-time, after coming on as a substitute in the 83rd minute.
The first a superb header, and the second a brilliant shot from inside the box.
O’ Neil was delighted with how the striker impacted the game after his introduction.
It was a tough afternoon, but there were some great goals, Kelechi Iheanacho coming on and doing brilliantly,” O’Neill was quoted by Celtic TV.
