8 countries in line for four spots next week.

 

Several games were played across Europe on Thursday, in a bid to determine which countries clinch the final spots at the 2026 World Cup.

Italy defeated Northern Ireland 2-0, Türkiye beat Romania 1-0 and Denmark won 4-0 against North Macedonia.

Poland fought back to see off Albania 2-1. Slovakia and Kosovo played out a 4-3 thriller. Viktor Gyökeres scored all three goals for Sweden, who beat Ukraine 3-1.
