Super Eagles handler, Eric Chelle has been handed a major boost ahead of his final squad announcement for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
This is following the return of Ebenezer Akinsanmiro to action.
The midfielder returned from injury in the Serie A game between Pisa and Parma at the Stadio Romeo Anconetani on Monday.
However, the 21-year-old could not help his side avoid defeat as Pisa suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat in the hands of their visitors.
The midfielder had been sidelined since November but was introduced at the start of the second half to replace Marius Marin.
Before he came on, Adrian Benedyczak had already put Parma in front in the first-half.
His return from injury would be a boost for Chelle as preparations intensify for the AFCON.
The midfielder is part of the Super Eagles’ 54-man provisional squad for the tournament.
