Don’t punish Paredes, other Argentina players – Spain’s Gavi begs FIFA.

Spain midfielder, Gavi has urged FIFA not to punish Leandro Paredes and other Argentina players who were involved in a fight following both sides’ World Cup final on Sunday.

Spain defeated Argentina 1-0 in the final to win the World Cup in New Jersey.

Following the final whistle, some players of both teams engaged in a scuffle.

Nahuel Molina hit Rodri, while Paredes attacked Gavi and Eric Garcia.

Also, a tense confrontation occurred between Nicolas Otamendi and Rodri.

Speaking on the development from his hometown in Spain, Gavi told reporters (via Barca Universal), “I don’t think they should be suspended… I understand that this doesn’t present a good image for the kids, but football has always had a more aggressive and intense side.

“For me, it made sense for them to be punished with a red card to Enzo during the match and for the matter to end there. I see that everything that happened is part of football.
