Australian Open 2025 Day 3: Women's singles predictions ft. Jasmine Paolini vs Wei Sijia, Anna Kalinskaya vs Kimberly Birrell.

Day 3 of the 2025 Australian Open will see more first-round action on the courts of Melbourne. Some of the top seeds from both the men's and women's sides remain to take the court, who will begin their campaigns on January 14.

Fourth seed Jasmine Paolini will be the highest seed who will be in action on day 3. She will also be joined by fifth-seeded Elena Rybakina, eighth-seeded Emma Navarro, and ninth-seeded Daria Kasatkina, who will also be in action on Day 3.

Let's have a look at some of the women's singles matches scheduled to take place on day 3 of the 2025 Australian Open.

Veronika Kudermetova will begin her campaign against home favorite Olivia Gadecki at the Australian Open. So far the Russian has a 2-2 record in 2025. She reached the quarterfinal of the Hobart International, losing 1-6, 6-0, 2-6 to eventual runner-up Elise Mertens.

Olivia Gadecki's 2025 season has not begun on a good note, as the Australian has lost all her three matches so far. She lost to Nadia Podoroska and Katie Boulter at the United Cup. At the Adelaide International, she lost 2-6, 3-6 to Daria Kasatkina in the first round.

This will be the first match between the two players on the WTA Tour. Kudermetova, being the higher-ranked player, will have a slight advantage.
