Holders Flying Eagles of Nigeria will take on Cote d’Ivoire in their last group game at the WAFU B U-20 Championship on Thursday (today).
Aliyu Zubairu’s side lost 1-0 to Burkina Faso in their opening fixture in the competition.
The Flying Eagles need to win the game to stand any chance of advancing to the semi-final.
Cote d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso have three points each in the three-team group.
A draw will be enough for the Ivorians to advance to the last four.
The WAFU U-20 Championship is the qualifying tournament for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
South Africa will host the competition early next year.
